These Hudson Valley brewing sour dipa cans don’t make no god damn sense

Shout out to @nobrasnoparents for loading ddb down with these sour adjunct DIPA [?!] cans from @hudsonvalleybrewery these seem like some odd synergy between @otherhalfnyc and @holymtnbrewing the descriptions are straight up banana sandwich “sour dipa with raw wheat, oat, lactose, white chocolate, vanilla, cardamom and citra powder” π sandwich
Brewery Rex and Brian White are some habitual line steppers

When @brian___white said that barleywine was the worst style of beer ever invented, I knew that @breweryrex would likely be on the wrong side of history, that being said these bottles sound insane, innovative and just @tiredhandsbrewing ‘ey enough to work. They excel in the clean/low abv arts, so we shall see what these bottle offerings hold.

@seant9689 hit me with a lil xmas surprise to light up my gorilla tits. Dusties and heaters to keep these eraser nips ablaze π₯π‘π‘πππΈfrom πto π

Tioga Sequoia lighting ddb up with beans and cones

Nice lil surprise from @tiogasequoia full of beans and cones. I have this self effacing 559 Fresno upbringing that delights in taking a smackerel of Central Valley shit talking but this brewery makes it exceedingly hard to do. Their stuff keeps improving and they are setting a benchmark for all of central California, which heretofore [kern/lengthwise notwithstanding] wasn’t exactly a standard of excellence. It boggles my mind how fresno, a city of 600k people with let’s call it four good coffee shops, has this purveyor of incredible coffee beers. It doesn’t have to add up, the rush series just has to be consistently delicious, which these stouts anomalously somehow continue to hit that level, despite the local culture subsisting on sugar free Monsters and camo flavored 5 hour energy. I welcome my new Raisin overlords.

Narke Kaggen stormskatporter Borbnhallow is a refined raspberry adventure

BARLEYWINE IS LIFE SHIRTS NOW ON SALE: Kaggen! Is one of the finest imperial stouts ever made and exists as a paradigm of amazing, tightly sewn european stouts. It is within the warm cockles of my heart and the raspberry version is equally flawless. It shows so much precision and control in avoiding the all too familiar American execution of purΓ©e and cringeworthy jammy smuckers aspects. The raspberry is this brownie with faint fruit leather and cherry cordial on the swallow. It is absolutely restrained and a representation of what I wish American breweries would emulate, fruited stouts with poise and subtlety. If you feel like dealing with the anooos pounding value this commands, have at it, it’s like Bramble with the old Eliza Doolittle treatment, full on berry pygmalion.

3F 2000 goozie contrast to the milly

BARLEYWINE IS LIFE SHIRTS NOW ON SALE: popped a 2000 drie to compare to the M and it is exceptional but lacking the sheer depth and complexity of the Milly. More acidic and almost a Doesjel type of cobweb and denim aspect. It just feels intensely old in a Mitsubishi Starion in impeccable shape. If Milly is the Diane Keaton version of 3F winter this is the still praiseworthy geriatric herfst. Musky neck kisses.
3F millennium goozie is arguably one of the best beers I have tasted in my entire life

BARLEYWINE IS LIFE SHIRTS NOW ON SALE: this is hands down one of the best goozies I have ever had in my life, and perhaps one of the most flawless beers that I have ever had the privilege of tasting. These reviews are never fun to post because it’s just gushing ropey loads of accolades. The carb sustain is everlasting and delivers a pillowy memoryfoam that collars and sheets sending crackly brett B musk skyward. The nose has the unmistakable depth of age and whispery orange rind after almost two decades in captivity. The oxy mixed with the intense brett profile adds this wave of canvas and cut construction paper. It’s incredibly musky and reminds me of old yearbooks and the boot section of a thrift store. One incredible aspect is how refined the acidity is and the long swallow like raked leaves and intensely earthy, Brie rind and almost morel swallow. The sheer minerality of this is an endless rock polisher of decadence. I could drink gallons of this without lighting up my chest like ET. Very few beers can reach this level of depth, complexity, and outright perfection. The platonic definition of beauty is harmony in form, and this is the libation iteration of same. Beer can never justify a four figure price tag but very few get this close, a genre and palate defining experience toe to tip.

Little Cottage Capra Cacao is a sign of awesome things to come

Barleywine is Life shirts on sale now! Also, @littlecottagebrewery is doing some damn fine work. Great residual body, minimal carb and a slick oily body to it. It gives and takes concurrently but results in net gains. Great brownie batter profile and a tobacco roast to the swallow. The fundamentals are all there, this was a tasty little treat and while I enjoyed the peach sour more, this is indicative of solid things to come. It’s like, damn Divinity Original Sin was so good, WHEN IS THE PORT OF THE SEQUEL COMING ALREADY. Nomsayin. Feed the masses lil cottage
