This was a treat but nothing earth shattering in execution, toasty and roast forward with a touch of rauch complexity to balance out the chocolate and barrel profile. Good but nothing to finger your dickhole over. Much better can be had for much less.

OWA Yuzu Lambic, JAPANESE LEMON zest: IMPOSSIBRU
1200 bottle Japanese lambics by way of Belgium. Business as usual on this site
This is fantastically refreshing and the nose is Sierra mist, lemon zest, limeade, hot dog on a stick juicedrink, and this acidic crispness like an Anjou pear
The mouthfeel is surprisingly sticky but closes with the muddled lemon and grapefruit and a sort of sprite wash. You could crush these endlessly if they weren’t $60+ a bottle. It is balanced and nuanced, less complex than the UME but certainly unlike any lambic I have tasted. Def recommended
1996 Westvleteren Red Cap, letting them out of the cellar now that they are of age
@crookedstave Leopold Peach Whiskey barrel Surrette WITH PROPER PAIRINGS
Sole Composition Homebrew yields 155 of 198. This was very tasty. Tasty+ even
@tiredhandsbeer My Shambolic is getting a deep pump
I was expecting a D’erpeteau experience and it wasn’t far off but there is also a grassy protein to the mouthfeel with this slight tinge of lacto balancing things out. The carb is insane and hilarious because those spelt casings don’t metabolize down just a big soapy head like a late 90s rave.
Nose is honey, slightly herbal and a sort of kent goldings gentle hop presence, another unsurprisingly good and underrated offering from these Pennsylvania jerks.
Don’t tell your friends. Your parents won’t love you as much if you tell them about our secret saison game we play.
Coast Old Nuptial 5 year barrel treatment. Holy oaky testicles this will saturate your wood.
2008 vs 2009 Perfect Storm, you can taste the whale.
The 2008 was markedly better than the 09 and I could taste the 550 bottle count .rar in the malts. The 2008 is aging gracefully and is the best vintage after 2012, the 2009 is nothing exceptional beyond the pre-lawsuit allure of the label.
Both tasty, but the 2008 is a world class barley wine that gets my barrels pulsing.
