@tiredhandsbeer My Shambolic is getting a deep pump

I was expecting a D’erpeteau experience and it wasn’t far off but there is also a grassy protein to the mouthfeel with this slight tinge of lacto balancing things out. The carb is insane and hilarious because those spelt casings don’t metabolize down just a big soapy head like a late 90s rave.

Nose is honey, slightly herbal and a sort of kent goldings gentle hop presence, another unsurprisingly good and underrated offering from these Pennsylvania jerks.

Don’t tell your friends. Your parents won’t love you as much if you tell them about our secret saison game we play.

My second favorite of the Funk Factory/Oso collabos. A lightly hoppy Brett forward beer that delivers musk in a simple earthy execution. Winds of Change up in this bitch.

I still prefer Dweller but I think I am in the minority on that front. There are not many analogs to this but if I had to pick one it would be Dry Hopper Brett D’Or from Crooked Stave. This has a more minerally Brett aspect to it that exudes that brettangomeeeches profile hand over fist.

Double Barrel Huna is a step behind Lairds Apple Brandy but still very exceptional. The pinnacle of this adjunct stout realm.

That grand cru low carb meets an endlessly complex nose of chili, oak, sweet brandy, cinnamon, and caramel. The taste drops wave after wave of heavy handed albeit delicious adjuncts that dovetail from spicy to earthy to sweet cognac and a huge chocolate finish not unlike Mexican hot cocoa.

Despite all my chicanery, this is an exceptional stout well deserving of the attention it currently receives.

Cali Brandy Huna, forever the weakest Huna. Lowest barrel presence, light sweetness and barely a rung above the base beer itself. Admittedly still pretty legit though.

Very difficult to justify the cost of entry when the base beer is already exceptional and this doesn’t come within a country mile of the other treatments. Stop skimping and get a double barrel you poor fuck.
