Amazing! There is so much going on in this photo, the complexity and depth of it is like the beer the photographer so eloquently portrays. The play between darkness and light is mesmerizing. From the subtle shadow pattern cast on the ceiling that creeps up on the viewer almost unnoticed, to the glorious highlight on the glass snifter that draws the viewer in like the gravity of the sun…from the casual yet clearly purposeful angle of the faceless connoisseur’s arm to the unrelenting grains on the table which are carefully juxtaposed with the subtle, yet deliberately,striped pattern of the beer lover’s shirt…WOW. And don’t get me started on the tension initiated by the near-empty beer glass which is tauntingly placed towards the edge of the frame. This is such amazing work…I’m literally fighting back tears as I type. Clearly this photographer possesses a depth of soul matched by few others in this temporal world. One cannot endeavor to fathom the intolerable pain and sorrow which must have been endured by this man to forge such a masterful talent. One can only humbly step back and thank God that he has blessed him with such a talent and that this man has decided to share his gift with the world. Bravo!
